Manoj
Originally from Pittsburgh, Manoj found he had an interest in martial arts at a young age.  Studying Tang Soo Do and Ying Jow Pai (Eagle Claw) while in high school, he developed physical fundamentals in martial arts and competed in local tournaments.  Upon going to college in upstate New York, he studied 7 Star Praying Mantis under Sifu Brian Bateman and achieved the rank of black sash.  After finishing college, he moved to Seattle in 2005 and met Frank Wong, a disciple of Xinyi Dao founder Master Li Tai Liang.  Since then he has been training in Xinyi Dao with Frank and formally became a disciple in 2013.

In addition to furthering his own skills, Manoj is dedicated to teaching the art of Xinyi Dao as it is a unique, rare style and has great physical and mental benefits.  Manoj looks to constantly improve his own skills as well as the people he trains with.  He enjoys teaching and views it as an excellent way to refine his own technique and gain a deeper understanding of the art and its application.  When not practicing Xinyi Dao, Manoj works as a hardware engineer in Bothell.  He also loves classic (and some new) kung fu movies and watching combat sports (boxing, mma, sambo, sanshou, etc…)
